Mayor Trolled For Posting ‘Garbage Free’ Photoshopped Image

Hyderabad: City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan was trolled on social media after he posted two images to showcase the good work done by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to make the city 'clean and green'.

The mayor posted two pictures of a street captioning it “before and after”. One pictures shows garbage scattered all over while the other image shows a cleaner place with no garbage. The tweet was inundated with several trolls. The tweeple noticed that the new picture was a photoshopped version of the first image in which the strewn garbage was removed.

Interestingly, the Mayor deleted his post realizing that he is being mocked at. A government spokesperson tried to defend the Mayor by stating, "The Mayor wanted to say that the civic body will try to implement innovative and effective ways to clear garbage, in which case the street will look like what this photo shows. He did not say even once that we have done anything like this in the city.”

In the Swachh Survekshan 2017 conducted by the Centre, Hyderabad figured at 22nd position in the country.
