Marriage Bureau Owner Held For Cheating Clients

Hyderabad: Nandini Marriage Bureau owner K Sandhya Rani was arrested by cyber crime sleuths on Tuesday for duping customers by extorting money in the guise of providing good matches.

In one such incident, Sandhya duped a client M Raghuram Reddy of Langar Houz. She collected Rs 10,000 by promising good matches for him. However, after collecting the amount she stopped answering the calls of Reddy.

Reddy sensed that something was wrong and asked the representative to refund the amount he already paid. The representative immediately disconnected the call and stopped answering his phone calls

Later, one of her representatives from the marriage bureau called Reddy and asked him to deposit Rs 5,000. As Reddy sensed something fishy he approached police and lodged a complaint.

CCS DCP Avinash Mohanty said, "Reddy sensed that something was wrong and asked the representative to refund the amount he already paid. The representative immediately disconnected the call and stopped answering his phone calls."
