Man Tweets To US Salem Police Instead Of Tamil Nadu Salem, Tweet Goes Viral
Social media is being used not just for sharing but also acts as a redressal tool. But imagine what happens if you tag a wrong handle to your tweet? A similar fate befell to one Kerala man Arunanand TA.
Arunanand, who went to visit hill station Yercaud in Salem, took to twitter to complain to Salem police about the exorbitant price charged by rickshaws. He said that tourists are being charged Rs 50 for 1.5 km and mistakenly tagged Salem Police Department in Oregon in US. Interestingly, he got a reply saying, "We are the Salem Police in Salem, Oregon, USA."

After realizing that he tagged a wrong handle, he apologized. He further realized that US also has Madras in Jefferson. The tweet also grabbed the attention of Bengaluru IPS officer – Dr Roopa who shared his tweet with hilarious emoticons.
