Man Goes Viral With Hammer Therapy For Treating Back Pain
In a recent video that went viral, a traditional pain healer from Maharashtra has become famous for his strange back pain cure.
In the video, he was seen making the patients lie down and knocking with a hammer, through the entire length of their backbone. The nerve-wracking strokes also aim at the back of knee joints and calf muscles. Also, a long line of patients waiting for their turn for the strange treatment is seen in the video. The healer asks a patient to get up and bend. After the treatment, the man could surprisingly touch his toes without any effort.

This video has gone viral drawing media attention. But the location and the name of the man with the unconventional treatment for a backache is still unknown. Apparently, he speaks Marathi with his patients and is probably from the Latur area of Maharashtra.

But doctors have dismissed the treatment as defective and cautioned patients against approaching such healers.
A Pune-based senior orthopedic surgeon Satyasheel Naik said modern medicine provides appropriate treatment after carrying out X-rays and MRI scans. A long-term harm would be caused due to striking hard with a hammer, he added. He also said the government officials should trace the healer and take action against him.
