Maharashtra BJP MLAs to meet on Monday - Sakshi Post

The elected BJP MLAs in Maharashtra are likely to meet on Monday at Mumbai to elect their leader.

The party is expediting the process of government formation. RPI leader Ramdas Athawale, a BJP ally, who met Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday, said Uddhav was very keen on forming the government in alliance with BJP. However, there is no word yet from BJP on the former ally's overtures.
State BJP president Devendra Fadnavis was the front- runner for the CM's post, he said. BJP has 122 members in the 288-member Assembly and is all set to meet Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao to stake claim to form the government after Diwali.
The BJP is making attempts to get backing of independents and small parties.
