Mad Rush For Cash: Rumors Cause Traffic Chaos At Attapur 

Hyderabad: With rumors about abandoned cash bags erupting at Attapur, people were running to grab their share causing huge traffic chaos on Sunday.

The rumors spread like wildfire all of a sudden and the vehicles started rushing to the pillar No. 143 in search of abandoned cash bags. As the traffic came to a standstill throughout the road, some people left their vehicles on the roadside and ran to the spot. Everybody was searching, but none found anything.

This kind of rumors are making the rounds ever since the abolition of Rs500 and Rs1,000 notes last Tuesday. On Saturday, thousands of people bought salt packets as there were rumors that the price was going to be hiked up to Rs400/kg. Retailers made a hey while the rumor was still thick, but people realized it only after midnight.
