Lok Sabha Speaker Mentions YSRCP No Trust Vote Before Adjourning House

The YSRCP Chief shared a copy of the notice sent to the Secretary general Snehalata Shrivastava about its intention to move the no-confidence motion against the Centre on Thursday. - Sakshi Post

The Lok Sabha was adjourned to Monday, March 19 following uproar in the Upper House over granting of Special Category Status to AP.

It is worth mentioning here that the YSR Congress party MPs were all set to move a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led NDA government today. TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu too followed suit after facing public embarrassment for staying mum on the issue of special category status to the state for four long years. Interestingly, Chandrababu was repeatedly accused of having settled for special package, instead of SCS to the state, especially in the light of his statements like it (SCS) was no sanjeevini or magic cure and that the issue was a closed chapter.

The TDP too did the same on Friday morning.

Interestingly enough, just before calling for adjournment of the house, the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan told the House that they had received YRSCP's no-trust vote notice served by Ongole Mp YV Subba Reddy against the Council of Ministers, but did not mention any such move by the TDP! She said that the no-trust vote cannot be moved unless there was order in the House.
