KTR to resign if TRS fails to win Hyderabad Mayor post - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao has vowed to resign if Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) won't win GHMC elections.

Speaking at a Meet the Press organized by Hyderabad journalists here on Monday, KTR exuded confidence that his party will win above 100 out of 150 seats in GHMC elections. The MIM will be in the second position and BJP in third, he predicted. Congress won't get even 10 seats, he added.

KTR said the party is confident of winning the mayor post as they have done a lot of development in the city in the past 18 months. We are going to develop Hyderabad into a global city and completely change the face of the city, he said adding that a 42-km-long flyover will be constructed along the Musi river which will provide a new connectivity within the heart of the city and will bring thousands of acres of land into use.

Regarding the election campaign, he said KCR is the most glamorous hero in Telangana and they don't need any film stars to campaign for the party. Reacting to a question, KTR said he never dreamt of becoming a chief minister and he is very able to do what he wanted to do for the people in his present position.
