Kichcha Sudeep’s Hollywood Debut Risen Will Be High On Action

Kannada actor Sudeep impressed Telugu audience with his baddie avatar in SS Rajamouli's film Eega. The actor then went on to collaborate with Rajamouli again starring in his magnum opus Baahubali franchise. And now the actor is all set to widen his horizons by making his Hollywood debut. Yes, you have read it right. Sudeep will star in Hollywood flick Risen and will start shooting his scenes from February 2018. The actor dons an army officer’s role and it is learnt that he would be indulging in high octane scenes which will be quite gripping.

"All the formalities are completed. Sudeep will start shooting from February next year and he’s really excited. It’s an action-packed role and audiences will get to see Sudeep in some high-octane, futuristic action scenes. In the first narration, Sudeep gave his nod and he’s eagerly looking forward to start shooting as he’s really excited about the project,” Hindustan Times quoted a source.

Risen is being helmed by Eddie Arya and the plot revolves around a meteorite explosion that took place in Russia. "It’s partly based on the meteor that exploded in air burst over Chelyabinsk oblast, Russia. The explosion seriously injured over 1000 people and nearly 7000 buildings were damaged by the impact. The aftermath of this incident and the subsequent rescue operations forms the crux of the story," Hindustan Times quoted a source.

Sudeep met Eddie through a common friend and the duo had brief discussions before Sudeep was brought on board to essay his role in the film.

It is worth mentioning that 2018 would be a jubilant one for Sudeep as many projects are in the pipeline. Apart from Kannada films, the actor will be seen in Megastar Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
