Jagan forces Vijayamma to call off hunger strike

YS Vijayamma, the honorary president of YSRCP on Saturday was forced to call off her indefinite hunger strike.
Concerned over Vijayamma's deteriorating health, her son and party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked Vijayamma to end fast.
YSRCP leaders said that YS Jagan asked Vijayamma to call off protest in view of her deteriorating health.
It is learnt that Jagan got special permission from the jail officials, to call Vijayamma. The jail officials gave Jagan their phone to call Vijayamma.
The party leaders asserted that only hunger strike has ended, not the fight for equal justice of all the regions.
Guntur police forcibly evicted Vijayamma who has been on an indefinite hunger strike for the last six days. The police rushed her to a government hospital.
The YSRCP honorary president had continued her fast in the hospital despite failing health. Doctors advised immediate medical treatment as sugar and blood levels had fallen drastically and there were chances of her lungs getting damaged. The doctors stressed that it could affect the brain and Vijayamma could slip into coma if she did not end her fast immediately.
Jagan's wife YS Bharathi and other YSRCP leaders met Jagan at the Chanchalaguda jail to brief him on Vijayamma's health condition. Later, Jagan forced Vijayamma to call off her fast.
Vijayamma is demanding that the centre not bifurcate the state, if it cannot render justice to all the regions of AP.
