‘I Will Sit On The Floor’: Yogi Tells Officials

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has again made heads turn after he directed officials not to make special arrangements during visits, inspections and programmes as he would prefer to sit on the floor.

"We are people who sit on the floor," he said. He made these remarks in the wake of a recent incident where the officials made arrangements when the UP Chief Minister visited martyred BSF head constable Prem Sagar's house in Deoria. The family members were shocked at the officials removing the AC, sofa, carpet soon after Yogi left the house.

The incident received severe criticism from various sections including the opposition leaders.

Recently, another incident also sparked outrage when the officials told people of SC (Mushahar community) to take bath before meeting the Chief Minister. For this, the Kushinagar officials had also provided soaps and shampoos to the people.
