Hyderabad Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner Held For Taking Rs 25,000 Bribe

Hyderabad: P.M. Srivastava was arrested on Saturday by CBI's Anti-Corruption Bureau wing for taking Rs 25,000 as bribe and has been produced before a court.

A case has been registered against Srivastava under relevant sections of the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act

On a tip-off, the ACB officials intercepted P M Srivastava, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner, Chennai, who also holds additional charge of Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner, Hyderabad, while he was allegedly received Rs 25,000 as illegal gratification through his driver on Friday.

Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises of Srivastava at Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru.

A case has been registered against Srivastava under relevant sections of the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act.
