Hyderabad Bakeries Use Animal Fat For Taste; 2 Arrested 

Hyderabad: Beware if you are purchasing lip-smacking confectioneries from your nearby bakery. The yummy delicacies are harmful to health as the GHMC officials have found that city bakers are using animal fat to make food items tasty.

The GHMC officials have conducted multiple raids on the city bakeries in various places and found that confectionery available for consumption were made from buffalo fat. In some items, the officials found cow fat too.

The officials further added that the fat is procured from illegal slaughter houses and transported during night time to avoid checking by the traffic police.

Two persons were arrested in Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru localities for illegally storing animal fat. The accused convert the animal fat into oil and supply the same to bakeries located in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
