Homesick Class 6 Student Commits Suicide

Hyderabad: A class 6 student of Telangana Minority Welfare Residential School committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his hostel on late Tuesday night at Jeedimetla. The boy, Mohammed Fareeduddin, was admitted to the school on Friday by his mother Akthar Begum.

The hostel officials said that the boy after joining complained to go back to his home and was disinterested in studies. The school principal Syed Aslam Nazir said the boy’s mother was recently called and was informed about his tantrums , who then took away home on the weekend. However, the boy's family alleged that without informing the death his body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital and raised doubts over the management.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that Fareeduddin was not interested in studies. The boy may have tekn the extreme step due to home sickening

A suspicious death case has been registered and the body was sent for post-mortem which revealed that the boy died to hanging himself.

The boy's father died five years and his mother works as a daily wage laborer. Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham president P. Achyuta Rao demanded action against the school management and blamed them for the boy's death and demanded an ex0gratia of Rs12 lakh to the victim's family.
