Heroine Rape Attempt Case: Accused Allege False Case Foisted For Money 

Vijayawada: In the rape attempt case of an upcoming Tollywood actress, the Vijayawada court on Friday granted bail to the accused actor Srujan and director Chalapathi.

The duo alleged that the heroine staged a drama only to get money from them. It may be recalled that heroine lodged a complaint with the Patamata police claiming that actor Srujan and director Puvvala Chalapathi had attempted to rape her in a moving car on August 15.

However, she escaped from them when her car was rammed into a lorry at Bhimavaram. The actress also alleged that she was molested by Srujan in the back seat while the director was driving the car.

Srujan and Chalapathi, however, maintained that there is no truth in the heroine's claims.
