Here’s A Lowdown On YS Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra

Reaching the unreached is the main aim of this unique endeavor - Sakshi Post

The AP Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to embark on his six-month long mass contact program titled Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

This is a unique yatra that covers the whole of Andhra Pradesh. Unlike any other yatra undertaken in the past, this yatra will practically cover every constituency directly or indirectly. It would begin on November 6 from Idupulapaya, at the memorial of late Dr YS Rajashekar Reddy at 11 am and end at Ichchapuram. Here’s A Lowdown On YS Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra:

Objective of the Yatra: Reaching the unreached is the primary objective of this unique endeavor. The Padayatra would take shape into a people’s movement with their active participation. While highlighting the misdemeanors of the Telugu Desam Government, the Praja Sankalpa Yatra would also create awareness about the Nava Ratnas proposed by YS Jagan.

Covers the entire state: YS Jagan’s padayatra would directly cover 125 assembly constituencies spread across 13 districts. The remaining 50 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh will see bus yatras by the party leaders. The total distance that YS Jagan will cover during the Praja Sankalpa Yatra is 3000 km.

Furthering people’s agenda: In the runup to the yatra, Rachabanda, a people feedback programme, was organized on a massive scale. Also, party leaders and assembly coordinators stayed in the houses of the people belonging to the weaker sections in the villages as part of Palle Nidra. These two initiatives have helped create the momentum for the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. Using these two programmes the party plans to draft constituency-wise manifestos. Thus, the final election manifesto would be a people’s manifesto by the people, for the people.

Sheer numbers: As part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be interacting with people at 5,000 different places, meet over 180 social organisations and address 125 public meetings. Thus, he will be interacting with nearly 45 lakh families. Apart from these, YS Jagan would also take part in road shows and flag hoisting at all places.

Daily Schedule: Every day, YS Jagan would interact with the visitors from 8.00 to 8.30 AM and the yatra would begin soon after. The yatra will halt for lunch at 12.00 noon. In the afternoon, he would meet visitors from 3.00 to 3.30 PM before resuming the Yatra. The day would end with a public meeting at a nodal point.
