Gymnast Aruna Reddy Honoured With 2 Cr Prize by KCR Govt.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today announced a cash prize of Rs 2 crore for B Aruna Reddy who clinched a bronze medal in women's vault at the Gymnastics World Cup held in Melbourne last month.

Aruna Budda Reddy (22) has created history by becoming the first Indian gymnast to win an individual medal at the World Cup. "Aruna Reddy met the chief minister at Pragati Bhavan here. The CM congratulated and felicitated her. He also announced a cash award of Rs 2 crore. He instructed that Aruna's coach Brij Kishore should also be given some assistance," an official release said.
