Google doodles are turning out to be more interesting than ever. On Tuesday the search engine giant marked the 131st anniversary of the creation of the hole puncher with a doodle. The Google home page depicts “g” in “Google” with a piece of paper, which jumps in joy as a puncher makes holes in it.

It was a German named Friedrich Soennecken who invented the tool that's a must have office stationary these days. The product was patented on November 14 in the year 1886, exactly 131 years ago.
