Good News To Engineering Girl Students, IT Companies Eye 40% Campus Recruitment

Hyderabad: Good news to engineering girl students who are aspiring to become software professionals. This time during campus interviews, IT companies would focus on recruiting 40 per cent of girl students (freshers) in order achieve gender diversity that would benefit them in a long run.

According to the IT insiders, company managements in the country are planning to recruit women aspirants from different states and from different cultures to ensure multiculturalism and diversity management.

Campus recruitment in engineering colleges will be starting from the second or the third week of July every year. Annually, the IT industry recruits about two lakh engineering graduates in the country.

The industry experts in the IT sector have also been suggesting to give priority to women on par with men in other other sectors. Besides recruiting freshers, the software giants are mulling to provide key positions in Board of Directors to women employees.

Around 4 lakh people are being employed by IT companies in Hyderabad. Among them, it is estimated that 40 percent are women.
