GO Sacking IYR Krishna Rao Gets Date Wrong

Vijayawada: The Government Order (GO) issued by Andhra Pradesh sacking AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation chairman IYR Krishna Rao got the date of his assuming office wrong.

While Krishna Rao assumed office on June 29, 2016, the GO issued on Tuesday stated that he was appointed chairman on June 19, 2017. The typo is expected to further embarass the TDP government which is on a fire-fighting mission following Krishna Rao's ouster.

Meanwhile, the state government also issued orders appointing Vemuri Anand Surya as the new chairman of the Corporation. His tenure will be for a period of two years.
