Friendhship through Facebook made her life miserable

Nagole: A hapless girl from Nacharam in Hyderabad got entangled in a friendship made on facebook, after the friend who feigned love towards her threatened to up publish her private pics unless she parted with her gold.

The LB Nagar police have revealed that the victim met Robin, a flower decorator from Habsiguda, on facebook. Friendship soon turned into love for the girl as Robin made her believe that he was in love with her. However the girl soon realised his dark side, when he got hold of her private pics and threatened to publish them online and send them to her parents, unless she paid him with gold jewely.

The hapless victim met Robin two-days ago, at Kamineni crossroads and handed over gold ornaments including her mother's gold necklace. However when she was confronted by her parents about the gold ornaments, she spilled the beans and told them about what had happened.

The parents then approached the LB Nagar police station and registered a complaint on Robin. The police are investigating the matter.
