Fire Mishap In Kanipakam Temple 

A minor fire mishap occurred in the famed Vinayaka temple at Kanipakam on Wednesday morning. According to the temple officials, flames suddenly erupted from the air conditioner in the sanctum sanctorum of the Varasiddhi Vinayaka temple in Kanipakam in Chittoor district.

The temple officials, who noted the fire, immediately alerted the fire services. The fire tenders arrived quickly and put out the fire. Sources said the fire could have been caused by a short circuit. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or property due to the incident.
