Farmers Loot Toll Plaza 

Mandsaur: A fresh round of voilence erupted in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district when farmers came out on to the roads and vandalised a toll plaza at Mandsaur on Thursday. The mob is learnt to have looted Rs 10 lakh in cash from the toll plaza.

Even in Shajapur district, the protesting farmers set ablaze several vehiles on to the streets and pelted stones on the police personnel. An SDM official was injured and admitted to a hospital in the region. The police imposed curfew in the district following the arson.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh alleged that the Congress leaders were behind the violence and arson in the Mandsaur district.

Despite giving an assurance by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to farmers, there was widespread arson in the state from the farmers, he said. There is certainly hand of the Congress leadership, he alleged.
