Fake Currency racket busted in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Police arrested a Bangladeshi national and three others hailing from West Bengal on Tuesday for carrying and distributing fake currency notes.In past five months, the gang has circulated Rs 20 lakh fake currency in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam 
 
Police busted the racket  when they got the information from a shopkeeper who identified a miscreant named Razibul who gave fake note of Rs 1000 for purchasing a pen.
 
East Zone DSP, Dr A Ravinder said that "on Monday the accused Razibul went to a shop in Koti to buy a pen worth Rs 50, where the vendor identified the fake note and informed the police." After the accused was detained, his house in Langer Houz  was raided and his other partners in crime were also nabbed.
 
Md Al Masrekin alias Sathy, a student from Bangladesh have come to West Bengal in 2009 for higher education wherein he developed friendship with Sofikul Islam and Sharif who mint fake currency notes. Later, Sathy  persisted his other friends Razibul, Rohan and Minarul on the pretext of giving them good commissions in exchange of fake currency.
 
The gang successfully exchanged Rs Six lakh fake currency with demolition of 1000 notes in July this year at Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. 
 
After the successful completion, they laid eyes on Hyderabad and in the month of October they stayed at a rented house in Langer Houz  and successfully exchanged Rs Five lakh fake notes.
 
DCP, Dr A Ravinder said that they have seized 381 notes of fake currency of Rs 1000 denomination, 30000 cash and four mobile phones. He further said further investigation is on to nab other counterfit currency makers.
