Mahanayakudu First Day Box Office Collection A Disaster
The biopic of late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR - NTR Kathanayakudu didn't propel any interest among the audience. The Balakrishna-starrer failed to bring in the crowds to the theaters. Now, the sequel - NTR Mahanayakudu which released on February 22 has received the same fate.
With an appalling start, the movie is a washout across the Telugu states at the box office on Day One. The film also received poor ratings and reviews from movie buffs.
NTR Mahanayakudu has just collected a share of Rs 2.12 crore on Friday. Interestingly, the last week releases are holding better occupancy in theaters, compared to the latest release.
The biopic was split into two installments. While Kathanayakudu focused on NTR's life on celluloid, Mahanayakudu showcases his political life with Balakrishna starring in both of them. The ambitious project, both installments seemed to have backfired on Balakrishna and director Krish.
