Drunk Driver Hits Pedestrians, 4-Year-Old Sanjana Brain Dead 

Hyderabad: In yet another ghastly accident due to drunk driving, a four-year-old girl is brain dead while her mother is in serious condition after they were hit by a car at Pedda Amberpet near Hayathnagar on Sunday night.

Sridevi and her daughter Sanjana were waiting for bus at a bus stop when the car being driven by a youth who was fully drunk hit them injuring both seriously. The driver and others in the car fled the scene abandoning the vehicle. The mother and daughter were admitted in a hospital where the girl was declared brain dead as she sustained grievous injuries.

The woman is undergoing treatment, but her condition is serious.

The police seized the car in which whisky bottles were found. A manhunt is on to nab the accused, police said.
