Hyderabad: Pawan Kalyan’s last outing ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ bombed at the box-office which incurred huge losses to film’s producer and distributors.

And one such distributor Sampath Kumar, who incurred loss, on Monday alleged the producer Sharrath Marar and hero Pawan Kalyan's aide Sreenivas, who was also the film’s executive producer, were threatening him for asking for a compensation for the loss incurred due to the flop of Sardar Gabbar Singh.

Sampath bought the theatrical rights of ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ for Krishna district at a whopping price of Rs 4.5 crore. However, the film did a shoestring business and incurred him loss of Rs 2 crore.

Speaking to media, Sampath said that as compensation Marar promised him to give Katamarayudu’s rights for a rebate price. However, his hopes went futile after he learnt that it has been sold to some other distributor. He said that his attempt to reach them through calls and messages went into vain as none responded.

“They ate not answering my calls or messages. In fact, I have been receiving threats of serious consequences by Sreenivas,” Sampath said.

Samapath also said that after making him wait for one year he was told to approach Eros from whom he brought the rights. “Then why was I promised of Katamarayudu rights. They are not even allowing me to meet Pawan Kalyan and explain my ordeal.”

Sampath has approached Film Chamber for a solution but nothing has been materialized.

He told the media that Pawan Kalyan is unaware of such deeds, adding, mafia in the guise of friends of PK are cheating ordinary people like him.
