Disqualify Turncoats, Will Attend AP Assembly: YSRCP MLA Srikanth Reddy

YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy  - Sakshi Post

Strongly defending the party decision to boycott the Andhra Pradesh Assembly session, YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said the the speaker was behaving in an irresponsible and partisan manner. He said the party has demanded that Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad disqualify all those MLAs who defected from the YSRCP to the ruling Telugu Desam. The issue has been hanging for quite sometime and the speaker is deliberately delaying the decision on the defectors.

He said on the issue of YSRCP MLA RK Roja's disqualification, the Speaker had said that courts have no jurisdiction over the assembly . But the same speaker is now adopting delaying tactics on the issue of disqualification saying that the matter was sub-judice.

He said there was still 20 hours time for the beginning of the assembly session and added the YSRCP would attend the assembly if the Speaker took a decision on disqualifying the turncoats. He said the Speaker should respect the Opposition.

"How can my party MLA, who has defected and became a minister, answer the question raised by YSRCP MLAs. This is an anomaly," he said.
