Dalit Sadhvi's bombast comes handy for Congress

New Delhi: Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti's comments rocked parliament for the second day running with opposition demanding PM Modi's statement on the issue.

Opposition also demanded Sadhvi's resignation. "Modi jawaab do" slogans rent the air with Congress demanding an official statement for not sacking the minister.The Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned till 11.45 AM and the Lok Sabha too witnessed uproarious scenes.

Meanwhile, Niranjan Jyoti apologised in both housees for her comments. While conducting an election rally in Delhi Monday, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti had said: "People of Delhi have to decide if they want a government of Ramzaadon (followers of Ram) or Haramzaadon (a government of those who are illegitimate)."

However, she later clarified that her statement was for those who didn't believe in Ram and in unified India. She told reporters on Tuesday that her statement must not be given any communal overtone.

 Modi on Tuesday also vehemently warned his party lawmakers ‘not to address the nation’ out of turn. He also said,"I will not compromise on this."

His statement came out in no time after newly inducted Union Minister Niranjan Jyoti made her controversial statements.
