Court dismisses Jagan's statutory bail plea - Sakshi Post

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday dismissed one of the bail pleas of YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy  and it adjourned hearing on another bail petition.

Justice B. Seshasayana Reddy dismissed the statutory bail petition and would hear the regular bail petition later in the day.

The statutory plea, was dismissed by the court on the ground that the petition does not merit hearing.

Jagan moved two petitions in the court seeking bail, one as a statutory right under Section 167 (2) CrPC and the other a regular petition under Section 437 of the CrPC.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested by the CBI on May 27, 2012 and is presently under judicial remand in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad.
