Cong not to field 6th candidate, 10 file papers - Sakshi Post

The Congress party is understood to have gone back on fielding sixth candidate at a meeting held on Monday.

PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday said his party would think on the sixth candidate. Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy Monday told reporters that the decision of fielding sixth candidate was left for the discretion of Minister Sridhar Babu, who was in-charge of legislature affairs.

Meanwhile, total 10 candidates filed nomination papers on Monday. They include Congress-5, TDP-3, YSRCP-1 and TRS-1. It is felt in the political circles that the Congress party has closed its options fearing setbacks if it went for voting. The party may announce its decision on the sixth candidate shortly from now.
