Class V Boy Who Played Messenger Between Man And Married Woman Beaten Up

Hyderabad: An innocent class V kid, who was inspired by Bible stories to help others, was beaten up for playing a messenger between a man and a married woman whom the latter was trying to seduce after he was caught red handed with ‘love letter’ by her husband and her brother. The incident took place under Hayathnagar police station limits on Tuesday.

Police registered cases against the man who used the boy as a messenger for outraging the modesty of a woman and also against the two persons for beating up the boy after his father complained.

According to police, Ashok, a resident of Hayathnagar, had a crush on a neighbouring woman whom he knows her before she got married. On Tuesday evening, he asked the 10-year-old next-door boy, who was returning home from his school, to give a ‘love letter’ to the woman he was trying to seduce her. When the boy took the letter to her home, her husband Vijay and her brother Durgaprasad caught him with the letter and beat up the boy.

When enquired, the boy revealed that Ashok sent him to give the letter to the woman. After he was informed by locals and neighbours about Vijay and Durgaprasad beating his son, father of the boy complained to police. When police asked, the boy replied that he was told at church that he would be blessed if he helped others. The boy’s father alleged that they would have killed my son if the locals had not interfered. They beat up my child even he was pleading his innocence, the father said.
