Champions Trophy: Players Stop Halfway To Observe Silence For Terror Victims 

Cardiff: The cricket match between England and New Zealand was halted halfway during the Champions Trophy match in England on Tuesday morning in Cardiff to observe two-minute silence for the London terror victims.

On Saturday, as many as seven people were killed and 48 were injured when terrorists struck the London Bridge. Three attackers drove the vehicle into pedestrians on the bridge. Several people in revelry in the pubs at Borough Market were also stabbed by the attackers.

The players observed a two-minute silence for the departed souls and for those who are badly injured in the attack.

Although the match between the hosts and the Kiwis started an hour early, the umpires decided to stop the match midway in the 7th over. Even the noise in the spectators fall silent. The players in the dressing room too observed silence for the victims.
