'Centre committed for development of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh'

Union Minister for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Union Government is committed for the development of both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The minister came to Hyderabad for the first time after she took oath as the Union Minister. She was felicitated by the state unit of the BJP on Saturday. In the function, several BJP leaders including Bandaru Dattateya participated.

Speaking to reporters soon after the function, she said that Union Government will extend its complete support for the industrial development of both the states.

She hoped that the local youth in Hyderabad will get more employment opportunities with the formation of Telangana state.

The minister said that their party had committed for fulfilling all the promises made at the time of last elections.

“We have already started efforts to bring back the black money stashed away abroad,” said the minister.

She said that the union government took stringent measures to prevent attacks on women.

She will attend the swearing in ceremony of N.Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 8.
