Cash for Vote: Court to hear Mathaiah’s plea after Stephenson’s

Hyderabad: The High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of Mathaiah’s petition to quash his name in the cash for vote scam and said that his petition will be heard after Elvis Stephenson’s. Stephenson’s plea will be heard from Monday.

The court on Thursday heard both Stephenson and Mathaiah’s lawyers. Mathaiah in his petition stated that his name was included in the scam with the intention to tarnish his image. and that his name was included on May 31 while Stephenson's filed his complaint on May 28 and that did not include his name

Earlier the court told the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to not arrest him until May 24 Once they received his Petition

Meanwhile the court witnessed some heated exchange between Stephenson and Mathaiah’s attorneys and the Judge had to step in to bring things under control.
