Case Filed Against L&T, Reliance Jio For Failing To Refill Trenches 

Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Reliance Jio by GHMC officials on Thursday at Jubilee Hills police station for not filling the trenches that were dug up to plug in cables.

"The road users may fall into trench especially during rains and thus we lodged a complaint," said D. Harichandana, GHMC Central Zone Commissioner.

L&T took permission to lay cables from RBI Quarters to Krishna Kant Park for set up its tower and the restoration works were to be completed by last week of May. The officials added that they resorted to complaint as the company didn’t pay any heed to their notices.

West Zone DCP A. Venkateswara Rao said that a case under section 427 of IPC and section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act has been registered against the two companies.
