Burglars Slit Woman’s Throat, Decamp With 56 Tola Gold, Rs4 Lakh Cash

Kankipadu: A woman identified as K. Sridevi was killed in the wee hours on Wednesday by unknown miscreants near Masjid center in Kankipadu in Krishna district. The assailants decamped with 56 tola gold and Rs4 lakh.

Police suspect that the miscreants are aware that Sridevi lives alone in the house and hatched the theft plan

The incident came to light after her relatives found the woman lying in a pool of blood. They reported the incident to police, who registered a case and are on look out for the miscreants.

The deceased and her husband K. Srinivas Reddy belong to Rajahmundry. They shifted to Kankipadu 10 years ago and have a son Satish.

Srinvas frequently visits camp with his son Satish. Police suspect that the miscreants are aware that Sridevi lives alone in the house and hatched the theft plan.
