Boy Dies After Swallowing Toy From Rings Packet 

Eluru: A 7-year-old boy died of choking after he swallowed a plastic toy that came with Rings children's snacks in Kummara Revu area of Eluru in West Godavari district on Wednesday.

The boy, Nirikshan, struggled to breathe after he swallowed a small plastic toy that generally comes in children's snack packets. He died after his parents took him to hospital. It was not known whether the boy swallowed the toy accidentally or expecting it to be an eatable item.

The incident highlights the need for a close vigil on the companies that sell children's snacks like Rings, Kurkure, etc. Police registered a case and an investigation is on.
