The IPL 2018 opening ceremony started off with a bang in full strength at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The event was kicked off by IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla, COA member Diana Eduljee, BCCI members Anirudh Chaudhary, Amitabh Chaudhry and BCCI acting president CK Khanna.

The glitzy ceremony began with Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan taking the stage by storm with his dance moves to hit songs from his movies. Varun set the mood of the stadium with his signature dance moves. He was joined by dance legend Prabhu Deva, who grooved to his iconic “Muqabala” song.

Varun and Prabhu Deva set the tone for Bahubali star Tamannah Bhatia. The actress made her entry into the stadium in a chariot, which set thr stadium on fire. Apart from Baahubali, Tamannaah also acted alongside Ajay Devgn in Himmatwala.

Popular Bollywood singer Mika Singh made his entry to the stage in style. The singer entertained the fans with his famous Punjabi beats.

Indian actress Jacqueline Fernandez joined the party with her entry into the stadium. The Bollywood actress is one of the biggest superstars in the industry.

Hrithik Roshan, the most awaited superstar of the night, rocked the stadium with his popular number, Dhoom. The Mumbai crowd loved the stylish star’s moves for the song. Alongside many songs, Hrithik finished his performance with one of his all time hit, Ek Pal Ka Jeena from Kaho Na Pyar Hai.

To bid adieu to the fans, all the performers of the night joined to dance for the official anthem of IPL 2018.
