Block Priya Varrier’s Oru Adaar Love Video: Raza Academy To CBFC

Priya Prakash Varrier  - Sakshi Post

Mumbai: The latest Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier has become the talk of the town for various reasons, her look, her wink and her smile—all have floored the social media and people across the globe. But the young lass need not be happy with it. She has also invited lots of trouble with it.

We already told you that a few youth in Hyderabad have filed a case at the Falaknuma Police Station against the song in which Priya is seen winking at her classmate. As if this wasn't enough, today Mumbai's Raza Academy has written to CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi to block the video of the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the film Oru Adaar Love.

The academy pointed out that the song contained objectionable words and they feel the text is mentioning Prophet and his wife. They also mentioned in the letter that a FIR against the film has been filed in Hyderabad. But there has been no action taken and hence they have requested CBFC to get the video blocked.

According to Kari Abdul Rehman Jiai of Raza Academy, "We have objection over few words of this song. It's hurting the sentiments of our community. That is why we have written to the CBFC chief. If they fail to do so, then we will take this protest in a legal way by consulting our lawyer." Interestingly none of them have raised any objections against the lead actress Priya.
