BITS Pilani Hyderabad Student Kills Self Playing Blue Whale Game 

Hyderabad: The dreaded Blue Whale game that claimed thousands of lives all over the world has registered its first victim in the city on Saturday.

A BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus student, Varun, committed suicide by asphyxiating himself at his house at Sun City gated community in Rajendranagar.

Varun, who came home from the campus hostel on Friday, remained in his room since the evening and was playing some games on his laptop very seriously. His parents found him dead with his head covered by a polythene paper which was tied with a thread around his neck on Saturday morning.

A distinction student, Varun was in second year engineering at BITS Pilani Hyderabad college. Police unlocked the laptop and his mobile phone to ascertain the cause of death. He is found to have reached the 13th level of Blue Whale game on the night he committed suicide.
