Bhagiratha Will End Fluorosis Woes in Nalgonda: KTR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen to ensure safe drinking water supply to all habitations in the state and end the fluorosis woes in Nalgonda district with the implementation of Mission Bhagiratha, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said.

Replying to a question in the Assembly on Wednesday, he said 82 percent of the transmission pipelines were laid along with most of the critical structures were nearing completion under Mission Bhagiratha. Bulk supply of drinking water will be available in most places by this year end while the entire state including every household will be covered by 2018, KTR added. The Minister also informed the Assembly that the state government is taking up interlinking of pipelines with several municipalities and municipal corporations apart from the intra-village connection pipelines.
