Ashok had waited to rope in Sweety for more than three years. the director had pinned great hopes on the film and knew that only Anushka could do justice to women-centric films.

And the end result is for all to see, Anushka and director are thrilled with the success of the movie. People expected it to be a mere horror flick but the film offers much more than that. Yet, the film has caought the box office by storm since its release.

Bhaagamathie is fetching more revenue at the USA box office. The film has managed to collect $1,035,238 in twelve days at the box office.
