The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday directed the Guntur police to speed up investigation on TDP mens’ attack on YSRCP Guntur-East MLA Mustafa and party leader Ambati Rambabu.

It may be recalled here that the YSRCP leaders were injured when a bus in which they were travelling was pelted stones by TDP members at Medikonda.
The incident happened when the YSRCP leaders were heading to Muppalla along with seven MPTC members of their party. Then the TDP men kidnapped four MPTCs to ensure the win of TDP-supported candidate for the Muppala MPP post.
An advocate Sudhakar Reddy on Friday filed a petition in the High Court seeking directions to the Guntur district police to take steps to ensure expeditious investigation. The court also ordered the police to submit the report within four weeks.
