AP Secretariat Staff Stage Protest

Amaravati: Staff of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat staged a protest at Tadikonda road, on Monday, protesting against the inefficient bus services from Guntur to their workplace in Velagapudi.

They protestors stated that the bus service from Guntur to velagapudi was supposed to be non-stop route. However, the RTC staff are halting the bus at every stop enroute thereby delaying their arrival at the Secretariat, they said. "Since bio-metric attendance system is in place at the Secretariat any delay in reaching their workplace impacts their attendance," the staff said. The matter has been reported to the RTC's regional manager and he has directed the staff to run the buses without any midway halts but apparently the RTC staff did not mend their ways.

The Secretariat staff are refraining from work in protest against the pathetic bus services.
