Anxious moments in the air for TDP leaders

Leaders of the ruling Telugu Desam Party spent anxious moments on Sunday, when the plane they flew in was unable to land at the Vishakapatnam airport due to rain.

The pilot opted to circle the airport for nearly an hour, than risk landing on a wet runway, sources said. The Trujet plane was chartered by state minister Narayana for the TDP MPs and MLAs to attend his daughter's wedding.

However, the pilot managed to land the plane safely after clearance from the Air Traffic Control.
