Anushka’s Bhaagamathie Closing Collections
Telugu actor Anushka aka Sweety's recent release Bhaagamathie did good business at the worldwide box office. Bhaagamathie has become the third Telugu blockbuster of 2018 after Power star Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi and Balakrishan's Jai Simha in terms of overseas collections.
Post Baahubali franchise, Bhaagamathie was her Anushka's women-centric film which released in more than 400 screens without any competition.
People expected Bhaagamathie to be similar to Sweety's Arundhati which was a thriller and bone-chilling film. Movie buffs thought Bhaagamathie could be like Arundhati but it was not up to their expectations as it had a sloppy script.
Over all, the total collections of Bhaagamathie is a staggering INR 27.58 Cr only in Telugu language. Because of Baahubali popularity, Bhaagamathie become a super hit film in Tollywood while it has turned out to be dud at the Kollywood box office. The makers of the movie raked in Rs 7 cr from its Kollywood version and the film was able to collect only Rs 4.99 Crores. The makers are said to have incurred a loss of Rs 2 Cr because of the film.
