Another Headache For Chandrababu: Govt Committee Says TDP MLA At Fault In Attack On Lady Tehsildar

Tehsildar Vanajakshi, who was assaulted by MLA Chintamaneni - Sakshi Post

In yet another setback to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the ruling Telugu Desam Party, whose stock is already at an all-time low, the committee constituted by the government to probe into the alleged attack on lady Tehsildar Vanajakshi by Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar, squarely blamed the ruling party MLA and his henchmen.

The report, submitted to the District Collector, also exonerated the Tehsildar from all the charges against her. It clearly found the MLA and his henchmen guilty of manhandling the lady officer.

It may be recalled here that almost a year back, MLA Chintamaneni and his followers attacked Musunuru Tehsildar Vanajakshi when she was tried to stop illegal sand mining and sand smuggling. The issue rocked the state for quite some time and the government had finally constituted a committee to probe into the charges and the counter charges.

The committee in its report put the blame on the MLA Chintamaneni. The Chief Minister had even taken the Tehsildar to task and even reprimanded her in public.

Now that the report has been submitted, whether the CM make it public and initiate action or will he keep it under the wraps remains to be seen. The CM always claims that he would never spare anyone indulging in wrongdoings. Will the CM walk the talk as Chintamaneni's case involves both crime and corruption?
