Nellimarla: Five people from Vizianagaram including one woman and one child in were killed in Chhattisgarh and others were left injured when a car collided with a tree while they were travelling to Jagdalpur for a vacation on Monday, October 28.

According to the reports, Sunita, who is a professor at Mims Medical College in Nellimarla went for a family vacation along with her husband Lakshman Rao, Daughter Shreya, Son Ramesh and their relatives Tirumala Rao and his family joined them in this tour, all of them travelled from Visakhapatnam to Jagdalpur on the Visakha-Kirandul train.

After visiting all the tourist places, on the return journey to the Jagdalpur railway station, everyone stepped in the same car. The driver of the car who was under the influence of alcohol collided with a tree. Lakshman Rao and his daughter lost their lives on the spot.

Police who received information rushed to the spot and started rescue operations. Ramesh and Tirumala Rao died on their way to the Jagdalpur Hospital. Dr. Sunitha died on the way when she was shifted to Vishakapatnam hospital for better treatment.

Mims crew expressed their grief over the sudden death of Dr. Sunitha who was working as an anatomy professor at Mims College. MIMS Chairman Dr. Alluri Murthy Raju, Trustees Satyanarayana Raju, Dr Pravin Varma, Ramakrishna Raju, Principal Dr. Laxmi Kumar, and others expressed their condolences to Dr. Sunitha and her family.
