After 22-years of marriage musician-actor Himesh Reshammiya and wife Komal appear to have thrown in the towel. Himesh and Komal have reportedly filed for a divorce at the Bandra family court and are seeking legal separation.

While the reason behind the divorce is still not clear, some reports indicate that an extramarital affair could be the reason for it.

It is reported that they have been living separately for some time now. Both Himesh and Komal have said that they respect each other and have jointly decided to go ahead with the divorce.

Komal too has commented on the same lines saying they respect each other and have jointly gone in for the divorce.

Himesh and Komal have a son together, Swayam, whom the estranged couple want to parent together.

Himesh was reported to have had affair with the television actress Sonia Kapoor a few years ago. The musician turned actor however remains tight-lipped about the affair.
